Seawashed Rosary

All windows are open, curtains float about the room.  The warmth of sunshine remains, while Autumn barely blows in.  The garden fades with a blush of roses.   Fog returns to the back fields in the morning dawn.

There are beautiful days ahead for my family as one of my children is marrying, another is traveling to Panama to work on a coffee plantation, and our youngest is leaving the nest.

Summer

 "Come out here where the roses have opened.  Let soul and world meet."

 On Summer solstice I walked through the flowers by moonlight...the light of the strawberry moon.  Everything was so quiet, only the petals whispering.  My soul awake in the garden while the night sky held all my dreams.  

I continue to sketch roses and then paint them with a wash of watercolor.  The studio is my refuge during the heat of the day.

Of A Summer Sea

a quiet wash of the sea has come in
