I have spent this Lent in the quietness of my gardens, sea cottage, and daily walks along waters edge. There have been silent moments of prayer in our Mission style parish and at Mass this past weekend I purchased the white Mother of Pearl Rosary. All of these are what inspire and fill and then flow into my new paintings. The wrapped package is a favorite painting 'Whisper' of The Eternal Series (inspired during last year's Lenten Season) now on its way to Hawaii. As much as I look forward to Eastertide, I believe I will remain in this washing of silence a bit longer.
