Home

"There is nothing like staying at home for real comfort." Jane Austen

So it seems that  winter has passed us by.  Our windows are wide open to let the spring-like sun stream in.  The warmth, the birdsong, the blue skies are all welcome.  I am thankful, but will continue to wait for winter none the less.  Our land needs rain.  Our souls need the quiet that only winter brings.

It drizzled a tiny bit of rain on Saturday.  We planted onions.  Red, yellow, and white onions.  The romaine, spinach, bok choy, snow peas, thyme, rosemary, lemon and lime trees are all growing well. The winter garden is a refuge of peace.
