Corners Of My Cottage

I thought I would share a few photos of Sea Cottage that I took this week while it was raining. Some of these are areas of our home I haven't shared before or have changed in decor.

This is our hallway going into my bedroom. A messy vignette I'm calling nordic romance. A crown chandie, chippy framed photo of Kiera Knightly, a new bird journal and rustic wood with iron.

into my bedroom of Rachel Ashwell white ruffles.

with faded blue roses

our bathroom suite in whites and grey

my favorite way to travel around town

my seawashed studio behind the french doors

Vintage buffet from my mom with chippy clock above where huge white star used to be. I also removed the stack of white platters and put the vintage-style fan for an industrial look.

A painting of the sea from my lovely friend Rayanne. Isn't it beautiful. A new treasure in our home.

The colors are the exact greys and sea blues of Sea Cottage. I will cherish it always.

Time for's been a beautiful week with windows open to hear the spring rain.
Hope you are all well.

Gift Ideas For Mother's Day

Mother's Day is just around the corner so I thought I would begin listing my Seawashed Roses in the shop, in case anyone is looking for a one-of-a-kind gift to give. These Roses are Original Paintings by me, Kerrie Sanderson, in shades of faded pinks and blues. They are painted in acrylic on stretched canvas. They are signed on the back(and front), numbered, and named(above is 'Marie').

Available now in 8 x 10 for $60.

We also have framed watercolor prints...

'Tiny Blue Flowers' is 6 x 6 for $30

or unframed watercolor prints in 8.5 x 11 for $20

We also have notecards...

The 'Faded Rose' notecards are printed from an original watercolor painting. A set of 6 for $10. (Also available in 'Tiny Blue Flowers')

We have placecards to go with the notecards in the 'faded rose'. These would make a lovely gift or could be used for a Mother's Day tea party or luncheon. A set of 8 for $3.

The 'Starfish' notecards are handstamped in grey(or pink) so no two are exactly alike. A set of 6 for $10. (Starfish tags are also available to go with the notecards.)

The Seahorse notecards are handstamped in grey(or pink), set of 6 for $10.

The Seahorse tags come in a set of 3 for $3 or 6 for $5. They would make a lovely gift along with the notecards.

We also have popular Sea Tags with handstamped words like sea, calm, tide, and bay. A set of 3 for $3.

Every item purchased at Seawashed is gift wrapped in natural paper with eco-cotton yarn and a seawashed tag.

So if you are looking for something original and one of a kind washed by the sea to give your Mother this year(or maybe yourself)shop at Seawashed.

Bringing the beauty and calm of the sea to your shores...for Mother's Day. ox

Seaside Sundays

It has been 90 degrees for the past two days. Yes, it feels like summer. So, I simplified our mantel with an all white palette of seashells.

I got a package from Heaven's Walk in the mail. Look how coastal cute Laurie wrapped it.

And this is what was inside...

Seaside Bunting from her shop!

Laurie has a new shop space that you can read about on her blog and when I saw this bunting displayed in her Seaside Corner I contacted her right away to see if I could purchase it.

I actually bought it for our Sea Cottage on Wheels 'Nora Pearl'..or 'The Pearl' is what we like to call her. But for now it hangs in my studio. The aqua sea blue feels like a summer cottage to me. Oh, it makes me happy.

I've been picking roses and placing in mason jars all about sea cottage.

and I am painting...

painting roses... roses, roses,and roses.

This is painting #5 of The Rose Series~ 'Ada'. If you would like to keep up to date on my paintings visit my studio blog Seawashed.
