"O how great Thy loving~kindness,
Vaster, broader than the sea;
O how marvellous Thy goodness
Lavished all on me~
Yes, I rest, in Thee, Beloved,
Know what wealth of grace is Thine,
Know Thy certainty of promise
And have made it mine."

I was thankful to awake to yet another stormy day. I am enjoying winter, immensely. Drinking deeply of it. The quiet solitude of slow cold days, refresh my spirit. Hope glows about its edges. My heart softly sings.
We went to the snow again, yesterday. I sledded for 2 hrs. with my son. Up and down the hill we went, together. It was such a joy. Deep delight in this mama's heart. It was raining at first, but before we knew it, the rain turned to snow. And not just tiny snow flurries but BIG snow flakes, the size of a silver dollar. The sky was suddenly thick with snow. I stood in awe. It was a day of beauty.
As I gazed out the window at grey skies and pouring rain in between house~keeping and homeschool teaching, I thought about the promise of eternal life, and how even now He embraces me with it. He truly satisfies the longing soul (Psalm 107:9)~ "He put my feet on a wonderful road that took me straight to a good place to live." His beauty all around me everywhere, everyday, I am enveloped in it. Embraced in His life.
So I drink deeply of the beauty,
the life that He's surrounded me with.
And my heart goes on singing softly
