Autumn gentle breeze...

The autumn cool is here. A gentle breeze and clouds coming in. It is suppose to rain this weekend. I am not ready for the cold. I just love the autumn warmth. It's not hot, like summer, and I don't suffer allergies, like in spring, so I can really enjoy being out of doors. I picked cherry tomatoes from the garden to go with our grilled sirloin burgers at lunch. There is nothing like tomatoes from the vine. I always feel like I am eating fresh vitamins that are instantly giving my body health.

Autumn Pleasures
"Fall is for curling up in a coxy sweater, walking a stretch of
deserted beach, lighting a warm, crackling fire, and, of course, enjoying a good read."

Sunshine Bliss...

It is so beautiful here at Sea Cottage. All windows are open, letting the sunshine in. Our roses are still blooming and it feels more like summer than autumn. We've been going for long walks or rides on our beach cruisers. It's just too nice to stay indoors. We even spread the quilt out on our back lawn last week and basked in the sweet day. I watercolor painted while the birds twitted about our gardens. red juicy tomatoes adorn the vines.

It is hard for me to think about Christmas... But I am planning my daughter's Sweet Sixteen Party. Her Birthday is on December 26th, but we are having the party on December 1. It is a *Marie Antoinette* theme, so everything will be of french...tiny dainty pastries, sparkling delights, and the ladies & gentlemen will dress the part. I will decorate in a white, pale blue, silver theme that will remain for our Christmas decor. It will be enchanting!

Sweet November Days...

"Bright and wild and beautiful
For the Autumn festival,
I will hang from tree to tree
Wreaths and ropes of Bryony,
To the glory and the praise
Of the sweet *November days."

~Cicely Mary Barker
(*September in original poem)

November is my favorite month, along with September. It is the month of my birth, the month of cool autumn days, and the month of thanksgiving. I find the serenity of the month to be most appealing. I am a quietist, I like solitude...preferably in a meadow or on an empty foggy still beach, I like stillness, and hidden beauty. Awe, November...sweet November...I will lay down and enjoy your quiet days.
