River birch trees in my backyard
The garden-bed tucked in the birch and redwood trees for autumn and winter.
The rain is now falling washing away the dust of summer's extended heat.

So beautiful and peaceful Kerrie! I am having so much fun with the seawashed treasures I won from you, decorating our guest room. You've inspired me so much with your simple but beautiful style:)
Big Hugs!
They certainly are such a unique tree...

Dear Kerrie, I came upon a link today which I thought you might like ... especially the picture of the cottage ... http://joyceortner.com/gallery.asp
I hope your day is going well.
You add poetry to life.
Love your shoes,
Love the birch trees and there fallen leaves, how sad and lonely the garden daybed looks sitting bare of its mattress and pillows so plump, wait for chilling frost resting its cold upon it.

Oh, Kerrie I thumbed through the cottage style magazine book at Barns and Noble book store in the back of the mag/book there is an artist who paints the sea, I had to take a long carful look at the pages and pages of her art, I thought it was yours....Its a must see issue.

We had rain just the other day, but before you could blink it was gone. How I miss it and long for it's return.
Your Birch trees are lovely, Kerrie.
I hope all is well in your world...Fairest of maidens.

Ohhh.....your photos made me think of the beautiful river birch I planted at our lake house. It loved living near the water. :) I miss it's airy branches, light shade, and quirky bark. I may have to try planting one here at our farmhouse.... :)

I just turned 45! I hope that makes me more "beautiful" than "elderly" ! : ) Actually-- I already know it does!
